What a wonderful day!
Under the expert guidance of our Musical Directors Marius Frank and Cindy Stratton, we were led through some of the gems from the Motown songbook.
After a meet and greet with a nice cup of tea, Cindy led everyone through a series of fun warm-up activities. We then got to work!
We started with Dancing in the Street, then worked through a close harmony version of Tracks of my Tears. It sounded lovely! The morning ended with a rousing version of Reach Out- I’ll be There! The presence of the men was felt and glorious!
After a lovely picnic lunch in the sun (including, for some, a short visit to the local hostelry), we punched on through another five numbers. Some were pretty tired by end, but spirits soared when the band turned up!
Pasha, Sue, Knud, Ellie and Neil (who flew in from Madrid for the occasion!) led the massed voices through a wonderful final performance.
